WELCOME BACK to all our old friends and for all our new friends, a BIG BROOKVALE WELCOME! SEPTEMBER THEMES September 4-6......... Welcome Back September 9-13....... Getting to Know You September 16-20..... A.T. Orchard September 23-27..... Falling into Autumn September seemed to race by as the kids kept busy learning new names, new faces, and new attitudes. They also learned how to make picture frames, partner profiles, foil leaves, apple prints, and bookmarks. Outside we kept them busy playing kickball, freeze tag, jump rope, and four corners. OCTOBER THEMES September 30-October 4..... Pumpkin Patch October 7-11...................... Creepy Crawlers October 14-18.................... Screeches and Scarecrows October 21-25.................... Tricks and Treats October 28-31.................... Orange and Black Attack October has us settling down as the weather cools off. Inside the kids are preparing our classroom with fall wreaths, corn prints, egg carton pumpkins, marble paint webs, hairpin ghost necklaces, and clip-on paper bats. Outside marble paint webs, hairpin ghost necklaces, and clip-on paper bats. Outside they will play shadow tag, hopscotch, dodgeball, and make chalk drawings. KINDER TIME We have lots of time to spend with our kinders this year. That is such a special time of day for all of us. Kinder activities are broken down by days of the week. Mondays are for homework and stories, Tuesdays are for creative art, Wednesdays are game day, Thursdays are cooking days, and Fridays are creative art and computer day. We are diligent about walking your kinders to class and picking them up after school every day. Kinders will eat lunch at school daily and will only snack at school. Any concerns you have please feel free to ask. HOMEWORK HEROES CLUB We encourage your child to sign up for Homework Heroes Club. We offer prizes and other incentives because we know how helpful it can be for a busy child to have his or her homework completed before they go home. A few reminders for our families - No toys, electronics, etc., from home. We provide games and activities to keep everybody busy. - For the safety of all children, do not drive onto Brookvale's campus. Please park your car in front of the school and walk your child to sign in and out each day. Your Brookvale Staff
