WELCOME TO CROCKER HIGHLANDS!
We hope everyone had
a fun and delightful summer. We have all returning teachers this year,
all of whom you will find caring and nurturing people. If you haven't met
them all yet, please stop and introduce yourself.
SEPTEMBER THEMES
August 29-30............ Welcome Back

September 3-30........ Native American Month
September 16-20...... Mexican Independence
September 23-27...... Mexican Independence
The new school year is
full of fun things to do. Adriann and kids created embroidered pillows,
decorative photo books, dream catchers, Native American necklaces, and papier-mâché
bowls.

ACTIVITIES
During the month of September, the morning teachers kept students busy with
outdoor activities like jump rope, dodge ball, and basketball. Inside we
had chess, computer, clay, board games, and much more.
P.E.
Dwayne and children have enjoyed many outdoor games of football league,
basketball, kickball, & tetherball. Please see Dwayne for sign-ups.
K-TIME
We have special groups of Ks. The A.M. K-group is with Miss Vera, and the
P.M. group is with Adriann. Many of our projects and activities are basic
in reading and writing readiness. We have homework day, storybook day, cooking
day, and computer day.
PROJECTS
AND WORKSHOPS
We are making bean masks, cat masks, sun masks, clay masks, treat bags,
lanterns, creatures, spiders, pumpkin treats, and having a lot of ghoulish
fun.
