This is a sample of one of our Mission San Jose' Adventure Time newsletters:

WELCOME TO ANOTHER SCHOOL YEAR!

We trust everyone had a great summer, but you must admit there's no place like home. That's how this A.T. family feels, If you are new to our family, allow me to introduce your staff:

Our THEMES are
September 4-13....................... Back to School
September 23-October 4........... Four Seasons
October 7-18............................ Our Community
October 21-November 1............ Fantasy Park

KINDER PARENTS:
As in the past three years, we will be teaching ASL (American Sign Language) and Spanish to your children. They love learning languages, and will enjoy sharing their skills with you. This year we will be offering ASL and Spanish workshops to those older children in our program who are interested as well. This is part of our ongoing effort to offer a variety of excellent enrichment activities for your children.

In addition to the daily inside and outside activities, we will offer a Homework Heroes Club, which encourages children to do homework while at A.T. They can earn prizes and parties by getting signed off daily.

We also have a Peer Tutoring group of older children that help the younger children do homework. This is great for their self-esteem, and they earn cool stuff too.

We offer a morning snack and an afternoon snack. However, if your child is an early arrival at A.T., feel free to send a snack/breakfast with them. If your child will be staying late, you may want to send a supplemental snack for them to eat later in the afternoon. Please remember, we have many children to supervise at A.T., so try to send food that does not require heating. We encourage healthful snacks.

SAFETY REMINDERS
Have you (parents) done your homework? We must have all those important forms filled out-it is a state licensing requirement-but more importantly, Safety Reminders Have you (parents) done your homework?
