This is a sample of one of our Northwood Adventure Time newsletters: WELCOME TO ANOTHER SCHOOL YEAR! W would like to welcome all of our new families as well as returning families to Adventure Time. THEMES AND ACTIVITIES Our THEMES FOR SEPTEMBER were: People in Our Community, Under the Stars, Awesome Apple, and Down on the Farm. The children enjoyed Awesome Apple Week when we talked about Johnny Appleseed, made homemade applesauce, made apple prints, and we found the star of the apple. Our OCTOBER THEMES are: Fall Colors, Christopher Columbus Time Frame, Clocks and More Clocks-Different Types, Old and New, and Goofy Goblins. Plus, we will have a Halloween Party with games, costumes, and goodies to eat and most of all, a whole lot of fun. Parents and siblings are more than welcome to come and join us for this event. K-TIME Kinder Time is shared between Debbie and Margaret doing different activities of painting, cooking, story time, and drawing. We have found that if anything is messy, the Ks love getting into it knee-deep. HOMEWORK HEROES CLUB We have a Homework Heroes Club at A.T. It's an incentive program to help the children develop positive study habits and provide help with homework. Children earn stickers, prizes, and certificates as they complete each week of homework. If this sounds like something you are interested in, please let one of the teachers know so we can remind your child. FRIENDLY REMINDER: The weather is getting cooler; be sure your child wears a sweater or jacket. Thank you from all of us at Adventure Time. We welcome everyone to a great year!
