This is a sample of one of our Vallejo Mill Adventure Time newsletters: WE'RE BACK!!! We had so much fun last year, we decided to do it again!! As you no doubt have noticed, we are growing daily with smiling, cheerful faces, bringing sounds of laughter and joy to our home away from home. So many names to remember, schedules (oh my!!), and a ton of activity and excitement! We set very high standards in providing care for your children, safety being number one, followed by friendship, warmth, care, and companionship. And, last but not least, fun, FUN, FUN!!! I hope this gives you peace of mind, knowing that your child is safe, happy, and loved while you are at work. -Allison SEPTEMBER THEMES Wacky Welcome-Three days of craziness! How else can I describe it? It‚s not easy getting back into the routine of school after weeks of glorious vacation, so we just went with the flow, relaxed, and had a wacky good time! Getting to know you-What are your favorite things to do? ...eat? ...create? ....play? We spent that week getting to know each other and plan some cool things to do this year. Let the Fun Begin! Yes, mom and dad, after our homework is done! We promise! Lots of great teacher-favorite activities and projects were planned for this week. It was guaranteed to bring some fun and excitement into your child's life. Fabulous Fall-After hunting for those beautiful fall leaves, we had to do some leaf rubbings, right? Many other fabulously fall projects were in store for this week. I'm sure all were enjoyed. OCTOBER THEMES Monster Madness, Chills and Thrills, Creepy Crawlers, It's Only Halloween Fun, and Body Part Art!! Halloween is coming, let the transformation begin! It‚s all fun, it‚s all for laughs, maybe even a grin? It‚s always an Adventure when you walk thru our door, Scary things all around, yet the children shout for more! Creepy Crawler races, bats flying to and fro, Spiders hang everywhere, Which way do we dare go? -Allison Be careful when entering the A.T. Haunted House!! We are spending a month working hard at transforming our room into a vision of make believe. Watch for the spider webs with giant black widows, screaming skeletons peeping out from dark corners, and ghosts flying in the breeze. Of course, we have to return our very successful Haunted Tunnel. We enjoyed it so much last year, the children didn't want to take it down!! KINDER CORNER What a great group! We can tell we‚re going to keep having loads of fun this year!! Such imagination, creativity, and energy!! This month is filled with lots of exciting activities. We have had a face painting demonstration to show the children how we can transform a "regular person" into an "ugly scary monster" (and how it's only make-up, just pretend).
