This is a sample of one of our Vichy Adventure Time newsletters: HELLO AND WELCOME BACK TO OUR NEW SCHOOL YEAR AT VICHY! We've had a great start so far. The Vichy A.T. teachers are very excited to have begun a fun-filled new school year. Just a reminder that if your child will not be attending Adventure Time at his or her scheduled time-please call so we don't worry. Thank you! Our THEMES FOR SEPTEMBER were Fabulous Friends, Super School Days, Appealing Apples, and Johnny Appleseed. For Fabulous Friends Week we celebrated friendship by making friendship bracelets and baking. During our Super School Days Week, we created our own stories entitled, "If I Were Principal." We also made our own crafty crayons out of toilet paper tubes, paint, and construction paper The children made apple wreaths with Cory, created apple stamps with Mayela, apple photo frames with Jenny, and Shirley made apple pendants. We also finished September by creating windsocks, festive headbands, and harvest collages for October's Harvesting Harmony Week, and of course, we took advantage of the great weather by playing soccer and basketball outside. Our OCTOBER THEMES are Harvesting Harmony, Safety First, Terrific Teeth, Magnificent Manners, and Happy Hauntings. We're looking forward to playing a fun game of safety bingo and creating safety banners. Then for the Terrific Teeth Week, we're reading some fun books about teeth and how to keep them healthy as well as creating a classroom chart showing how many teeth our A.T. kids have lost so far. For our Magnificent Manners Week, we'll be working on manners mobiles and we'll be exercising our theatrical abilities by performing improvisational skits of good manners vs. poor manners. And, of course, for the last week of October, we will be preparing for our Harvest/Halloween Party. We'd really love to see all parents and siblings for a frightfully fun time.
